i picked up this mini-pottery at the whitefish pottery company this weekend, the perfect kid size pieces. not only can the kids pretend they are handmade tea sets, but having them in the house also opened the discussion of the process of pottery making. i have also found some kid friendly (self-drying) ceramic clay at the local crafts store. we are going to make coil pots and bowls, and finish them with a layers and layers of brightly colored paint!!
