Today my search for my inner cowgirl began at the laundry mat (no good looking cowboys there) and ended on top of a mountain (which was waaaaay too cold to get out and look for one). You just never know what will happen when on sabbatical! We took a drive up into the mountains through the Pintler Loop's "Wide Open Spaces". It has my favorite place to eat in all of Montana..this little old time soda fountain. As you can see, we all had no problem diving right into the handmade milkshakes. For those of you who don't know me, I have what doctors call a little bit of a "lactose problem". That milkshake would haunt me the rest of the afternoon, but dang it susie, it was good! :) But as my good friend Jess says, "when in Rome", so i figured that was true for Doe Brother's Fountain as well. After the milkshakes and sandwiches, I took a mini stroll down the street of this old mining town...pretty sure my inner cowgirl is not in Philipsburg! And after seeing my "flirty face" on camera, I am pretty sure I was not attracting any cowboys! We continued up the mountain, where we decided to pull Sissy over (we have named my car Sissy) at a scenic overlook. This is where we almost lost Jami over the look!! Notice how Chuck just laughs at her while she is falling down in the snow. We were able to stay out of the car for about 3.4 seconds...it was FREEZING. We were attempting to look at a waterfall, but no one could stay out of the warm car that long. Sissy sure has been good to me on this trip with her heated seats and 4-wheel drive!
As we made our way down the icy mountain, we were passed by no less than 1155 cars...It is scary for an Arkansas girl to drive on this stuff! I don't think i could ever get use to it. We arrived home safely and that's all that matters! XOXOXO -Krista
