We saw our first grizzly bear on September 30 at Glacier National Park.
After pointing at the bear from a distance, Kiley was able to charm her way into borrowing some binoculars. With a closer look we were able to tell that it was not 2 black bears, but one large grizzly, which Chuck had already called by its size. His/her shoulders/hips were as wide as she was long! This was a big, big beeeeeaaaaa--uuurrrr! When we rushed home to cell phone signal to call dad, he unenthusiastically responded, "Girls, I've seen grizzlies."
