i have been struggling...



so i drank about 8 pints of caffeinated tea yesterday and came up with this. a german invasion in our bedroom, less poetic than prayer flags, i know. chuck is scared! (last class! last class! last class!)

We were pleased to find our new home nestled in the mountains, the landscape literally breathing, humming to be exact. We met her at dusk. With the curves and the strength of a mother, she towers over Helena. She has truly and lackadaisically seen it all. She watched as a town, drunk off of hope, arose at her feet. She slumbered when the gold mines and cathedrals were abandoned, when the deer began to re-inhabit what was rightfully theirs all along. We instantly related to her, this “sleeping giant,” whose name summed up the possibilities of who we could become here, both ready to make our lives much richer. It is here, under her wise disinterest, that we plan not to start over, but awaken together and daily breath in deep gulps of her mountain air.
