i love this picture kiley took in india. i didn't know that monks could use cameras! it seems kind of contradictory to the fact that they are taught not to cling and that life is impermanent and fleeting, including the awe-inspiring wonders of the material world. i guess it is sign of the times we live in, and it is beautiful picture in itself that shows the we all are naturally humbled and inspired by art and beauty. and what could be more buddhist than that, that we are all really the same? it belongs on the cover of a world religions book, a monk interested in islamic architecture! thanks kiley!
