apparently while we were capturing these moments, joy was bringing forth another beautiful child! (more details to come!) later that day we spotted a mother grizzly walking with such a casual strength, her two cubs following closely behind. she looked up from foraging as our eyes seemed to lock from the distance (through binoculars) and i started to cry. i was embarrassed by how emotionally overwhelmed i was by the moment and how quickly i then retreated to the car, but now i feel like it was some how connected to the new life that is being nurtured by joy's own casual strength...the mountains whispering samuel's welcoming.
