the first image is a picture of our apartment building. the second is our neighboring building (the original governor's mansion) to show you how lucky we are to be living amidst this history. they were both built by william chessman, one of the first millionaires in helena. when the house was purchased by the state (hence the name, the "original governor's mansion) our building was basically used as lavish town(party)houses for the governor's guests and other prominent helena gold rushers. at the time each unit had three stories and a back entrance/stairwell. today, each unit is broken into three apartments.
